The Healthcare Supply Chain Association (HSCA) represents the nation’s leading healthcare group purchasing organizations (GPOs) – the sourcing and purchasing partners to virtually all of America’s 7,000+ hospitals, as well as the vast majority of the 68,000+ long-term care facilities, surgery centers, clinics, and other healthcare providers across the country. Initially formed in the early 1900s, GPOs were designed to drive competition among suppliers, aggregate purchasing volume, and reduce healthcare costs. GPOs deliver critical cost savings that allow providers to focus on their core mission: providing first-class patient care.
Below, please find background on HSCA and our policy priorities. Additionally, a combined version of these resources can be found here. If HSCA can further serve as a resource to your office, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at info@supplychainassociation.org. We look forward to working with you in the 119th Congress.
